Dr. Charles Wulz graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary medicine in 1956. He practiced for 18 years in Duncan Oklahoma before purchasing North Hills Animal Hospital in 1974. The current North Hills Animal Hospital was completed in 2005. It is the third veterinary hospital built and owned by Dr. Wulz. He spent many years designing the current building to be the best and most modern facility in the area.
He can be found at the front desk interacting with clients and their pets, some that have been coming to North Hills for 30 years. He also enjoys meeting new clients and their pets as well as conducting tours of the hospital. He specifically enjoys meeting with pet owners who have adopted a new puppy or kitten. He is very knowledgeable in instructing owners on how to bond and interact with their pets to ensure a healthy life long friendship. He stresses proper nutrition and environment conducive to their good health.

Dr. Marilynn Baeyens graduated from Michigan State University with her B.S. and D.V.M. in 1975. She has been in Arkansas since 1976, and has also been at North Hills Animal Hospital since that time.
She is interested in small animal, birds, ferrets, exotic animals, wildlife medicine, and surgery. She works with the wildlife rehabilitators in Arkansas taking care of raptors (hawks, owls, eagles) and other wild animals. She is also the veterinarian for the Little Rock Zoo, and has held that position for 26 years.
In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding and horse shows. She also enjoys her dogs and other animals at home. She and her husband, Dennis, have Red Brahman cattle and Quarter Horses. They also have 6 Border Collies, 2 mixed dogs, and 6 cats. Their daughter, Katie, is a veterinarian whom graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Arkansas Veterinary Medicine Association, Pulaski County Veterinary Medical Society, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the American Association of Zoological Veterinarians.

Dr. Amy M. Hawley graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. While she was born and raised in North Carolina, she has lived in Sherwood for over 4 years. At North Hills Animal Hospital, Dr. Hawley treats dogs, cats and exotics. Her special interests include laser surgery, small mammals, and fish medicine. In 2004 Dr. Hawley completed the first surgery on a pet fish in Arkansas. She also works with a non-profit group, The Wild Child Alliance, to rescue and rehabilitate turtles from throughout the state.
At home Dr. Hawley is kept busy with a menagerie of pets, including: two Pomeranians, two cats, one ball python, one cockatoo, one cockatiel and a rescued and endangered Asian box turtle. In her free time she enjoys traveling, minor league baseball, and reading veterinary journals to keep up with the latest and greatest advancements!
Dr. Hawley is active in many veterinary organizations including the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association, and the Association of Avian Veterinarians, of which she is the Arkansas State Representative.

Dr. Blair Willman was born and raised in the small farming community of Lonoke Arkansas. Dr. Willman’s fondest childhood memories are those of rescuing abandoned animals on her father’s farm. Helping these animals sparked a strong desire to become a veterinarian. To fulfill her goal, Dr. Willman studied biology at Southern Methodist University and attended Louisiana State University, where she graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine.
After veterinary school, Dr. Willman was selected for an internship in veterinary medicine and surgery at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver Colorado, which is the home of Animal Planet’s Emergency Vets. This year long internship consisted of taking care of pets during the day, night emergencies and working with veterinary specialist to diagnosis and treat pets with very difficult problems. You can see Dr. Willman in action on Animal Planet’s E-Vet Interns, a television series created from her and the other interns first year as veterinarians.
Dr. Willman considers herself very lucky to be able to fulfill her life-long dream of being a veterinarian. She especially loves diagnosing problems and treating sick pets. In Dr. Willman’s free time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, camping, hiking with her dog, 'Sunny' and winter trips to the Rockies for snow skiing. She also loves just relaxing at home with her cats, 'Bobby and Boots'.

Christina began working as a receptionist at North Hills Animal Hospital in 2001. She is currently working towards certification from the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. She enjoys hiking and searching for waterfalls with her family in the Ozarks. She has an amazing husband, whom she met at North Hills, and a wonderful daughter. Her family also includes 7 horses , 5 cats (Sly, Rowdee, Skunk Kitty, Charlie Bucket and Buddy Ruff), 3 dogs (Kodiak, Nita and Nakoda), 2 ferrets (Lenny and Lilly), 1 bearded dragon (Rusty), 1 duck, 12 chickens and many fish.

Allie has been a member of the North Hills Animal Hospital staff since 2004. She started out in the kennel and worked her way up to being Dr. Hawley’s designated veterinary assistant. She works well with dogs, cats and exotics. Lizards and bird of prey are her favorite non-conventional species. She is also trained to work up front as a receptionist when needed. Her family knew that she would end up in this line of work due to her strong love for animals. She has 4 dogs (3 of which were adopted from the hospital), 3 cats, and an iguana (also adopted from the hospital).

Taura began as Hospital Attendant in May of 2008. She completed one year of nursing courses at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, took Judo and Aikido, and was a Member of the UALR Judo Club from 2000-2002. She worked as a volunteer and staff member for the Pulaski County Humane Society before completeing a correspondence course for Animal Care Specialist in May of 2006. She and her husband own dogs, a snake and a gecko. She enjoys her job at North Hills Animal Hospital because there are always new and exciting challenges and she gets to work with and learn about all types of animals. She plans to pursue a life-long career and further her studies in the care and treatment of animals.

Megan has been a recepionist at North Hills Animal Hospital since September of 2002. She is married and the mother of 2 energetic boys. She has 1 Husky (Lexi), a King snake (Shadow), 2 cats (Ember & Tess) that were adopted from Sherwood Animal Shelter.

Regina has been a part of the North Hills Animal Hospital team since October 2003. Her job description includes receptionist, accounts receivable, and monthly billing. She enjoys this position because of the animals and working with the public. She is a people and animal person so this job has just been perfect for her. As for her home life she is a mother of one wonderful child and several awesome pets that include 3 dogs (Pepper, Chili and Lera), an iguana named Ubu, and a cat named Pumpkin.

Carmel has worked at North Hills Animal Hospital since April of 2007. She has enjoyed learning about animals. “It has truly been a learning experience.” She is a receptionist and loves interacting with our clients and their pets. She has 3 dogs, Ian, Shane, and Brittany'.

Brooke joined the North Hills team in May 2006. As a receptionist, she enjoys helping our clients and giving extra love and attention to their pets. She has 2 pets of her own, a lab mix named Sayde Bug, and a fiery feline named Maddie. She is married and has a sweet baby boy. She, along with the other wonderful receptionist, will be glad to assist you with your pet care needs!

Francesca began working as a receptionist at North Hills in June 2008. She is married with 2 kids and 3 dogs, Muggz, Hugo and Jezzie. Francesca is also pursuing a career in Managment Information Systems.

Sharon began working as a receptionist at North Hills Animal Hospital in July 2008. Growing up, she always knew that someday she would work with animals. North Hills Animal Hospital has given her that opportunity. Sharon lives in Sherwood with Bob, her husband, and her 4 Yorkshire Terriers - MeLha, Ernie, George, and the newest addition Chloe a.k.a. Killer (Chloe was adopted from North Hills in January 2009). She has 2 daughters and 3 grandsons who are also animal lovers.

April started working at North Hills Animal Hospital in April of 2005. She had been a client for over 20 years before deciding to make a career change. She loves working in the Boarding Facility and bonding with all the various boarders, making sure they have a positive experience while being away from their owners and home. She lives in Sherwood with her husband Keith, 7 dogs and 1 cat.

Jennifer started as a Kennel Associate in August of 2007. Even though this is her first job working with animals, she loves every minute of it. Jennifer has a daughter named Zoe, 1 dog (Tucker) and 1 cat (Star).
