Procedures and Surgery Services

When scheduling a surgical procedure with our veterinarian, you can rest assured knowing your feline friend is in good hands in our surgical suite, designed for maximum safety. Our suite is equipped with gas anesthesia machines, stainless steel surgical tables with heated surfaces, electronic monitors, and surgery and spotlights to ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere throughout the surgical procedure.

Preparing Cats for Surgery

To get your cat ready for surgery, there are several basic steps to take. When your cat needs surgery, our veterinarian will guide you through the surgical process from start to finish. This includes ensuring your pet is up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations prior to the procedure.

Our veterinarian will also provide you with additional instructions specific to the procedure, such as withholding food the night before surgery (including treats), eliminating water intake after a certain time, and advising whether your cat can take its regular medication on the day of surgery. If pre-surgery medication is required, our veterinarian will let you know so it can be dispensed by our pharmacy. Maintaining your cat's normal morning routine on the day of surgery is important to help reduce stress or nervousness.
